Create Repeat Customers with These Key Practices

Posted on June 29, 2017June 24, 2018 by rscott56@netzero.com

My repeat customers are a cornerstone of my woodcarving business. I strive to make my customers happy so they will return to buy more of my woodcarvings in the future.  These are the key elements I use to create repeat customers?

key elements I use to create repeat customers
Find the price that will work for your business profitability. If you help your customers save money they will keep you in mind.
  • Proper Prices

At worst, your prices should not exceed your competitor’s prices – unless you offer higher quality. Find the price that will work for your business profitability. If you help your customers save money they will keep you in mind. Do not underprice your product, but a good price is the rule for creating good sales returns in all economic times. Also, low prices are not the only part of the formula to gain repeat customers. Most customers will express how much they love your products and/or services and will want more. Price is not their only consideration.

  • Quality and Value

Let’s talk about value. And I don’t mean just having a better product or service. I’m referring to the core values of your business. Customers understand what you sell is a reflection of your values, especially in my situation where I sell art. Art is a product that can inspire emotions for the buyer especially if they feel a sense of empathy with the artist who created the piece. Your customers will want more of what you offer. But they think of you as the reason they return. They know that you have their best interest at heart. Remember, a product or service that fulfills a need will help them achieve their goals. They will remember your quality and they will remember you.

  • Product or Service Uniqueness

How unique is your product or service? I’m not just referring to something that is totally new. Innovation will put you above your competitors. Keep creating new things. I’m referring to how you produce or serve that is different from your competitors. Take an older product and make it different, add something extra or put a unique spin on it (differentiate). What can you add or change to your product that will make it stand out from your competitors? What can you innovate to interest customers that will fix a problem or help achieve their goals? What do you offer for your customers so they will want to return?

Repeat customers can be an important cornerstone of your business. Review your product and service. How can you put a personal spin on what you offer? Sell yourself. You are the reason your customers come back for more.

Create Repeat Customers Check List

1)      Make sure the price of your product or service does not exceed your competitor’s price unless you offer greater-superior quality.

2)      Make YOU the important quality value of your product or services.

3)      If you have a product that competitors have, change or add something that differentiates your product or service so customers will come to you.

4)      Check your sales technique that you will give the right message on your price, value and the differences in your product or service.
